At HENZOF NIGERIA LIMITED our Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is based on a belief that the well-being of individuals employed at work, or individuals affected by our work, is a major priority and must be considered during all work performed on our behalf. Individuals are our most important asset, and their wellbeing, health and safety is our greatest responsibility. Our visitors and suppliers shall be given equal priority as that of our workers.

Our objectives are to achieve an accident and stress-free workplace by making health and safety an integral part of every position in the organisation. To ensure health and safety is considered in all planning and work activities.  Involve our workers in the decision-making processes through regular communication, consultation, and training and provide a continuous program of education and learning to ensure that our workers work in the safest possible manner. Identify and control potential hazards in the workplace through hazard identification and risk analysis. To provide effective medical and social insurance schemes for employees and first aid equipment in the workplace for emergency care to injured persons. To protect employees and loss from fire hazards through emergency training, provision of equipment, and insurance.

It is our responsibility to also ensure that we remain compliant with relevant local standards and global best practice on occupational health and safety.

The success of our health and safety management plan is dependent on the pro-active planning of all work activities and due consideration is given to implementing risk controls that are suitable to each given situation or task; provision of adequate resources for achieving our objectives; ensure that the work team are totally committed to achieving our objectives and understand the total work process and safety risks; that open and honest communication between management and all workers exists and is encouraged; and lastly, that all relevant public health regulations and legislations are implemented, communicated, and adhered to by all employees and at workplaces.

The Managers are ultimately accountable for the health and safety of all employees, suppliers, and visitors at their locations, regardless of function or line of reporting.

At Henzof Nigeria Limited we take our environmental responsibility seriously; all our work will be conducted in an environmentally sustainable and responsible manner that will protect the environment and prevent pollution.

Our objectives are that our environmental work practices will be enhanced through a process of continual improvement and education.

To prevent and manage incident occurring which may adversely impact upon our work processes, the environment and people.

Recognise and manage our key impact potentials on energy and water consumption, and waste elimination.

This applies to all locations where Henzof Nigeria Limited is performing work. It covers all activities and services under our control.

We comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and other requirements for environmental management protection.

  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders or organisations and seek to compare our progress within and across industries.

HENZOF NIGERIA LIMITED is committed to ensuring that it protects all forms of information or data within its control or ownership with confidentiality and integrity of its customers and employees in the delivery of its services. To further assure its stakeholders that the collection and use of its personal data would not infringe upon its rights or cause harm to its business. This requirement will apply without exception to its selection of suppliers and service providers with adherence to local regulations and global best practice.

To comply with this, we:

  • Ensure that all data processed and under our control shall be handled as securely as possible with integrity and confidentiality
  • Ensure that data obtained are through legitimate means and processed lawfully in a transparent and fair manner at all times
  • No sensitive or personal data of an employee or customer will be processed or used for advertising or marketing purposes without consent duly obtained and verifiable.
  • Ensure that information is adequately secured, maintained and stored only for the period within which it is reasonably needed
  • Ensure that data transfer or sharing with third parties or international organisations comply with our standards, applicable legislation, and or best practice
  • Ensure that electronic communications and processes particularly on social media platforms relating to Henzof and its stakeholders would be conducted without prejudice to the dignity of human rights and our values
  • Ensuring that employees entrusted with personal data of a data subject or who is in possession of the personal data of a data subject understand that they owe a duty of care and shall be accountable for his acts and omissions in respect of data processing and in accordance with the law, regulations and best practice
  • Inform stakeholders if their actions infringe upon our process, storage or protection of personal data or assets

The success of our data protection and privacy policy is dependent on:

  • Pro-active controls and protection of mobile and fixed systems used to access work related tasks and platforms
  • Ensuring adequate resources are set aside for the purpose of data security and privacy objectives
  • Understanding the total work process and safety risks in collecting and using data
  • Ensuring the work team understands confidentiality and is totally committed to achieving our objectives
  • Ensuring that employees particularly those with access are aware of data protection and privacy guidelines and its consequences should there be breaches
  • Ensuring that all relevant public health regulations and legislations are implemented, communicated and adhered to by all employees and at workplaces
  • Data sourced outside or externally from a public space must be referenced appropriately to the intellectual owner(s) and consent obtained if applicable

Selection of an administrator for the purposes of achieving the success of this policy

This shall be done by adopting purchasing practices that support and sustain good working conditions and the protection of human rights in its relations with partners.

Our objectives are:

  • Treat our suppliers with the dignity and respect they deserve in all our dealings and communications.
  • Understand that integrity and accountability are linked to the quality of services and products we supply
  • Build trust, direct, and honest relationship with our suppliers- manufacturers or their local representatives/affiliates for products we supply to meet our customer’s satisfaction
  • Ensure we source for suppliers with good commercial and ethical practices
  • Enhance customer confidence by continually improving our quality and recognizing that our suppliers have a voice
  • Encourage our suppliers to uphold our standards and embed same level of standards in their business dealings
  • Continually work to improve our policies and practices to enable our suppliers to be able to meet their commitments
  • Place orders with lead times that do not trigger excessive working hours or subcontracting
  • Pay production and shipping costs for samplings included as part of an order or exclusively where no order is made
  • Ensure that our suppliers and service providers respect and adhere with all data protection and privacy legislations and best practice

The success of our purchasing ethically is dependent on:

  • Constantly assessing the risks in our purchasing practices to determine and remove what is ineffective and improve upon our practices.
  • Driving ownership of our business ethics as a responsibility of every employee by empowering and motivating them to deliver excellence in our operations.
  • Considering pay and working conditions of workers when reviewing our business relationship, rather than ending relations on price or quality.
  • Communicating clearly, promptly and accurately on all issues concerning orders
  • Ensuring that we train our purchasing team in good purchasing practices
  • Paying our suppliers a fair price and on time as at when due

  • Continually educate our workers to instil the need for compliance and to understand of our expectations from them.
  • Prohibit offering or receiving improper payment for bribes or gifts in any forms
  • Report and clear all gifts accepted by employees through management as gifts of cash are prohibited
  • Zero tolerance will be employed on all confirmed disobedient anti-bribery and corruption cases.
